Silence and Serenity – A silent retreat in the Spring

March 11 @ 12:00 pm - March 17 @ 12:00 pm

Silence and Serenity

Come and share with us the beauty of our valley in the French Pyrenees. A week mainly in silence, or completely silent if you are drawn to seek that stillness.

We offer you the comfort of our Bed and Breakfast, with all meals provided. Healthy, wholesome winter warmers using mainly local, organic produce. All cooked at home.

March weather can be snowy still or brilliantly sunny – if only we had the power of prediction. But there’s a wood burning stove in the gypsy caravan where you can tuck yourself away on chilly days, a sauna in our cellar and the hot tub is at 38 degrees year round.

If it’s warm and you want to get out and about, there is excellent walking nearby or snowshoe walking and skiing in the mountains. If you’d like to do some pottering in the garden (south facing so it gets the sun all day) or help with our efforts to keep our village tidy and trim, those with green fingers are welcome to help (but it’s not compulsory).

This week is all about you. Drink in the beauty. Sit silently and contemplate. Read, paint or create.

Single occupancy of rooms full board is 90 Euros a night. Double occupancy 115 Euros per room.

We have three double/king-sized rooms with private bath or shower rooms and one twin with private shower room. The upstairs double has a linked room with a single bed if you are coming as friends and would like a little more privacy at sleep time.

Please take a look at our website at www.lascoumeilles.com for more information on the house and the beautiful Ariege.

We have set aside the week of 11-17 March for this silent retreat. You are welcome to join us for the whole week or for a minimum of 4 days of your choice.

We ask for 50% of the payment upfront and the deposit is non-refundable.
